A WAY TO SUCCESS
In 1907 Traugott Ramp starts in dealing natural casings as administrator of the local slaughterhouse. Throughout the following years the business is growing and can no longer be managed by one person. Together with his partner the company's name changes to "Ramp + Bühlmann". Traugott Ramp dies in the 30's. His son, Max Ramp living in Australia, returns to Switzerland to take over his father's business. The company changes its name to Max Ramp Ltd.. The war only allows market growth within Switzerland because export business comes to a halt. During his trip to the USA Max Ramp makes out the absolute new and future oriented technology of skinners. His company is the first to import this technology into Europe. In 1948 Max Ramp Ltd. becomes official agent of Townsend - Skinners covering most parts of Western Europe and the whole of Eastern Europe.
Today, Max Ramp Ltd. and its approximately 20 employees, belongs to the most competitive and efficient companies in the market of natural and artificial casings. The company has the EEC-authorization (Vet. Control No.602) manufacturing according to the IFS Standard Higher Level, meaning that hygiene and product quality are of utmost importance. Experience, detailed customer care and high quality standards ensure an excellent reputation in the meat-processing industry.

Natural Casings
In spite of today's high-technical sausage production, natural casings are mainly used for the production of boiled sausages. It is to be understood that only high quality casings are used to achieve first class sausages.
Max Ramp Ltd. is one of the leading companies in the natural casing business in Switzerland. Its sorting plant fulfills the latest hygienic standards where all kinds of casings are tested in quality and calibration.
The entire plant is permanently supervised by an export veterinarian. Our aim is to bring the advantages of natural casings optimal into accord with today's technical demands in sausage production.
Artificial Casings
Max Ramp Ltd. offers the optimal casing, be it natural or artificial, for each type of sausage. The entire casing business consists of highly-specialized staff members. The team has many years of sound experience in the production of sausages in Switzerland and throughout the world.
